Articles of Membership



In these articles, where HPR is used is referring to Hoosier Paranormal Research

Article 1: New Team Members

A)   Prospective Team Members must be 18 yrs. of age.

B)   Prospective Team Members must be of good moral character

C)   Prospective Team Members must be willing to learn about paranormal phenomena and have a mature personality.

D)   Prospective Team Members will undergo an interview with the Founding Members.

E) Upon acceptance into HPR, you will be assigned the position of investigator-in-training. This will be for a minimum of 50 hrs. which includes field investigations and evidence review.

F)  After your field training is completed and no additional training is required you will be promoted to the position of Team Member/ Investigator.

G)  Each Team Member is expected to supply one piece of equipment. This remains your property not the property of HPR.

H)   Race, Ethnic, Sexual Preference, or Religious Belief (as long as it does not interfere with investigations) will not be considered for acceptance into HPR.


Article 2: Rules Of Conduct

A)   Must follow all laws of the United States, State, County, City, this includes trespass.

B)   Courtesy and Respect of all fellow Team Members.

C)   Courtesy and Respect of all clients and property.

D)   Failure to comply with these rules and the protocol of field investigations will result in a hearing by the Founding Members and could result in immediate dismissal from HPR.


Article 3: Financial Issues

A)   HPR charges no fees for investigations.

B)   All funds for HPR come from dues and various sales.
      1. Funds will be applied to HPR's PayPal account then transfered to Salin Bank & Trust Company.

C)   Once per month, HPR will have a meeting. There will be $7 in dues each month that will go into the general fund. All members are expected to attend these meetings if possible.

D)  Active HPR members understand that as part of this organization, there may be times when he/she may be asked to donate financially above and beyond the monthly dues for equipment or other items. Such expenditures will be discussed at monthly or special meetings.  In order for this to be accepted, there MUST be a majority vote of at least five (5) members in favor of said expenditures. If less than five (5) members are present, then no vote can take place.  If five (5) or more members are present, then all decisions are final. Any member not attending and not voting will be expected to follow the group's decision.  No absentee votes will be considered.  There will be a $20 limit per person on all decisions so as to not place any financial burden on an individual.  If at anytime an individual member chooses to support HPR with higher financial gifts, that is his/her right but not necessary.  Attendance of all meetings is of the utmost importance.

E)   If a team member decides to quit the group, quitting team member forfeits all his/her paid dues and monetary gifts to the group. No refunds of past dues and/or monetary gifts will be given.

F)    New members are required to sign up for automatic payment of dues through PayPal. (An e-mail will be sent to new members with instructions.)



Article 4: Media Relations/ Right to Privacy

A)   Any request for media coverage will be reviewed by all Team Members for input with a reminder that it must be in HPR’s best interest.

B)   No Team Member shall ever give an interview, news story, etc, etc, without prior permission from the Founding Members.

C)  All investigations are of a private matter. Release of any information pertaining to client’s circumstances is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply is due cause for immediate dismissal from HPR. training is completed and no additional training is required you will be promoted to the position of Team Member/ Investigator.
