Franklin, Indiana- Private Residence

Hoosier Paranormal was asked to investigate this residence because the homeowners had been experiencing many unexplained things. The home was new construction just built within the last year in a new sub-division near Franklin Indiana. The homeowners claim that they have had the covers lifted off the bed when they are asleep, electronic devices have acted strangely, they have heard whispers and banging noises, have seen shadows, felt some cold spots throughout the residence, and one of the children is uncomfortable sleeping in their room. The clients had also taken some pictures and had captured something that could have been a mist. They also claim to have been touched and held down by something unseen in their bed. On the night of the investigation it was a warm and breezy with a full moon. Investigators present were Greg, Shanon, Randy, Kenny, and Robert. Equipment used was hard-wired infrared cameras, Sony night-shot video cams, EMF detectors, digital voice recorders, analog voice recorder, temperature devices, and digital cameras. As the investigation began we noticed that Randy’s camcorder battery in the children’s room had been drained of almost half of its strength. Kenny and Greg went into the master bedroom and Randy, Robert, and Shanon started in the living room. At around a half hour into the investigation Shanon believes he saw a small object float across the front doorway and disappear. He then went to the location and measured for any temperature changes or measurable EMF readings. His EMF detector immediately started picking up lots of electromagnetic energy in the area. This would continue on and off for the next 30 minutes or so. Earlier we had taken base EMF readings in the area and found no substantial EMF spikes there. The rest of the night went pretty uneventful, as we really had no personal experiences beyond what had already transpired. Findings: After reviewing our evidence we found no pictures or video to reveal anything beyond some bugs or dust. However at approximately 15 minutes into the investigation when Greg and Kenny were in the master bedroom Greg asks a question, “do you have any brothers or sisters”? And a faint response can be heard in a child's voice saying “sister”. This was also captured on Kenny’s voice recorder as well. Conclusion: Hoosier Paranormal believes that a future investigation of this residence is needed. We would like to research the property history as to find exactly what was there before the land was developed. The object that was seen floating near the front door, the EMF spikes, the EVP of the child, and the client’s history of the residence leads us to say this is an active place for paranormal activity. We think this to be an intelligent haunting; perhaps the spirit of the child wants some attention just like any other normal child. We do not believe this spirit is or would be a danger to the client and their family. Debunked: In one of the kid’s bedroom they are always complaining of a cold spot around the head of the bed, but we noticed that it located directly under an air-conditioning duct. This is perhaps the reason for the cold.
