Investigation
This was an unusual investigation as the area investigated was a barn where mysterious deaths surrounded farm animals. The client wanted to find answers to the cause of these deaths. The investigation began at 11:00 pm and lasted for two hours.  Investigators present were: Robert, Greg and Kenny. All three conducted the investigation during the entire two hours. The video camera was placed outside the barn facing the inside of the center bay. The investigation began in the center bay where chickens were perched on a wooden coup fence.

Investigation Time Line
Greg and Robert in the barn conducting an EVP session11:00 pm- The voice recorders were started.  At 11:02 pm- the video camera began recording. 11:04 pm- An EVP session began with Greg asking questions.  11:06 pm- Kenny steps outside the barn and takes a few snap shots of the barn.
11:12 pm- Greg noticed his VR was somehow placed off  "hold" and it was shut off.  He had to restart it and return it on "hold".  The "hold" setting renders the buttons useless and keeps the user from accidentally turning off the recorder. It was off for only a few minutes. 11:17 pm- As Kenny was snapping a photo of Greg going up the ladder to the loft,Greg climbing to the loft Robert noticed the video camera's red light flashing indicating the camera was about to shut down.  After examination, the battery of the camera was nearly drained. Kenny indicated that the battery was not fully charged prior to the investigation.
11:19 pm
- The team heard what sounded like a dog whining outside the barn.  11:21 pm- Greg conducts an EVP session in the loft as Robert and Kenny snap photos.  Robert asked, "What's that screaming noise?". Kenny replied, "Cricket?". Greg replied, "Could be a frog". 11:27 pm- Kenny snaps a photo in the loft and says, "There's a lot of dust orbs in that one!". 11:46 pm- Greg asked, "If you're not capable of speaking, knock on the wall". Robert and Kenny did hear a knock and the recorders did pick it up.  11:47 pm- Greg repeated The barn where claims of activity were reportedthe question and again, a knock occurred. 11:48 pm- Greg repeated the question asking for two knocks and a reply of two knocks were heard and recorded. 11:49 pm- An EVP session continued asking for knocks as replies. No further knocks were recorded. 11:54 pm- Kenny took off his head phones to see if he could locate the direction of the knocks.  11:55 pm- A sound occurred but it wasn't a knock. However, it did sound like it came from behind Robert where he was sitting.  A drawback of wearing headphones is not knowing a sounds direction. 12:00 am- Robert heard what sounded like a pencil snapping.  It was captured on the recorder but there were pigeons in the raftersPigeons roosting in the rafters of the barn roosting. 12:01 am- Robert suggested that we go back down to the ground level.  12:03 am- We arrived on the ground floor. 12:08 am- Robert checked to see if his battery would fit on the video camera but it was a different size. The video camera lasted one hour of the investigation before the battery completely discharged. 12:15 am- Robert asked Kenny if he could bring up the photo of the barn that was emailed to him from Robert and Greg in the loftthe client on his cell phone. Robert wanted to observe the photo while trying to recreate it using smoke. Kenny did manage to bring up the photo but we didn't have any cigarettes to lite to conduct the experiment. We did use the smoke of our breath as the humidity and dew point was fairly high producing some breath fog and it somewhat resembled it but not an exact match. We stayed on the ground floor asking questions and taking photos until 12:50 am when the investigation was called.

Findings
On 3 different occasions, we did pick up some knocks on our voice recorders that seemed to answer Greg during his EVP session in the loft of the Barn between 11:46 pm and 11:49 pm.  It was louder on this particular recording. No personal experiences were encountered. Nothing was captured on video or digital photos. No abnormal EMF readings were noted. HPR believes more research and evidence is needed to rule this a haunted or active location.
