HPR arrived at the home in
Seymour around 10:00 pm on July 10th. The
home owner gave a tour and a discription of activity then we began
setting up our equipment. Investigators present on this
investigation
were: Robert, Elisa, Greg and Kenny. We decided to set up our
video
cameras in the living room, back bedroom, front bedroom and one facing
the kitchen from the living room. After collecting our base readings,
we started the voice recorders at 11:00 pm. We did not split into
teams. All four members investigated together all night. The
Jennings County Ghost Hunters did an investigation the previous
weekend. They made a discovery that the living room and bedroom
windows were loose in their frames. We also inspected the windows
and confirmed that they were loose the night of the 10th. The
loose windows explains the knocking and debunks any paranormal activity
thought to have caused the knocking.
Investigation Time
Line11:00 pm- Voice recorders began recording and we placed them in their repective places.
Findings11:03 pm- Lights out. 11:04 pm- Kenny logged on to the weather network for the weather data. 11:06 pm- Elisa turned on the K2 meter and found it was reading high EMFs in the living room. 11:08 pm- All members went outside to check the electromagnetic activity out in the street and around the house. Very high electormagnetic pollution surrounded the house. 11:24 pm- We arrived back on the porch and talked about the high EMFs and the theories that surround high EMFs. 11:34 pm- Elisa came in to use the restroom. The other members remained on the porch. 11:37 pm- Elisa returned to the front porch. 11:37 pm- The team came in and decided to set in the lawn chairs we brought and listen for any noises. The house was empty and there was no furniture. 11:40 pm- The team began an EVP session while sitting in lawn chairs. Each member sat in front of a different camera. Robert was in the front bedroom, Elisa in the back bedroom, Greg in the dining room and Kenny in the kitchen. 11:44 pm- It was so quiet, you could hear a needle drop. Greg began asking questions. 11:45 pm- There was a loud tap in the living room. 11:47 pm- A motorcycle passed by and Robert announced its passing. 11:49 pm- Someones cell phone went off outside the house. 11:50 pm- Kenny moved from the kitchen to the dining room. 11:51 pm- Elisa commented the central air was loud and suggested we turn it off during our EVP session. Greg got up and turned it off. 11:53 pm- The blower motor turned off and it was very quiet again. All members continuted with questions. 11:54 pm- All members announced their names hoping to get some response. 11:57 pm- Kenny asked if anyone else could hear music. Greg and Elisa said it was coming from outside. 11:58 pm- Another motorcycle passed by the house. 11:59 pm- Robert asked if there was anything we could pass on to a loved one. 12:01 am- Kenny heard something and Greg said it sounded like wind chimes. Not sure if it was coming from outside the house. Elisa or Robert didn't hear the sound. The wind was calm. 12:11 am- Someone screamed outside off in the distance. 12:14 am- Some people were talking outside off in the distance. 12:17 am- We decided to go outside and take a break. We left the equipment recording and took a voice recorder outside with us and sat on the front porch. 12:41 am- We came back into the house and decided to all sit in the dining room in front of the camera and do an EVP session. 12:44 am- We decided to see if playing a game would stir up any activity by guessing the name of a movie from a movie quote. After only a few guesses, we decided to change to the "name game" hopeing it would entice activity. 12:53 am- While still in the dining room and playing our game, Greg said he got a ringing in his left ear. 1:02 am- The Mini-DV's tape ran out. 1:16 am- A beep sounded. Robert said it was the IR camera's tape running out in the front bedroom. 1:24 am- Robert saw a flash of light in the bedroom but a car had just went by the house. 1:25 am- We just decided to set around the room for a few more minutes and just interact with each other hopeing to draw out anything. 1:43 am- We called the investigation and stopped the voice recorders. After
going over all of our evidence, we debunked several whispers and sounds
that were thought to be something paranormal. However, nothing
paranormal was found. Hoosier Paranormal Research did not capture
any paranormal evidence on this night.
