#7) A Haunted Village

Our first home we lived in was in an older sub-division known as Clifty Village. Our house was built in the 1950's but we had a deed book with the history of the property going back to the mid 1800's. The property that the village was in was owned by one man but eventually divided up into 4 parts for his children. We had many strange and unexplained occurrences happen there. Things would disappear for no reason, or our dogs would act really weird. They would be asleep on the floor and then suddenly jump up and growl down the hallway with the hair raised on their backs. Often we would see shadows out of the corners of our eyes. I even heard voices calling my name when no one else was at home. I never felt threatened or scared but whoever or whatever it was seemed to enjoy being mischievous. Perhaps the spirit of a young boy, I do not know for sure. Since moving into a new home we have had no new experiences at all.
