Cell Phone Use and your K2 Meter
by Shanon Ping of HPR
Hoosier Paranormal Research was recently investigating The Story Inn for a second time and stumbled upon a new find concerning the K2 meter. While
doing an EVP session in the Blue Lady room, we started to get some
"hits" on the K2 meter. At that same time, Kenny was using his cell
phone to download some weather data and we were able to make a direct
connection back
to the K2 meter. "We heard what sounded like thunder while we
were in the Blue Lady room. I was checking weather data for
lighting strikes in the area when the K2 meter lit up light a Christmas
tree.", said Kenny of HPR. Cell phone downloads or sending and
receiving a text message within about 10 feet of a K2 meter will cause
it to respond.
Hoosier Paranormal, from this point forward, will have no cell phones
on during any EVP session. We feel that to do so would
contaminate any possible evidence we may find, and as such would urge
other groups in our field to do the same. We also urge other
groups to experiment with the cell phone and K2 meters themselves and
to draw their own conclusions.
