#3) Pennsylvania Street Ghost Story

We bought a house in 1992 in Columbus Indiana.  The house was a 2 bedroom with an unfinished upstairs that we used for storage.  The upstairs was closed off by an attic door that lay against the floor to close off the space.  We noticed after the first couple of days living there that when we would come home from work the attic door would be open.  At first we thought that the previous owners had maybe come in to get something they had forgotten.  We decided to have the locks changed on all the doors the first weekend we lived there.  We went back to work on Monday and came home and the attic door was open again.  This was kind of giving us an uneasy feeling.  We knew neither one of us had been in the attic.  This continued the whole time we lived at that house.  About a year later Greg was in the living room watching TV and he thought I came in the back door from work and walked across the kitchen floor and went into another room and closed the door.  He spoke to me but I did not answer him.  He went into the kitchen where he thought I had been and noticed out the kitchen window my car was not home yet.  He checked the back door and it was locked.  We had 2 dogs at the time and one of the dogs thought they had heard me come in also.  When I did come home from work Greg thought I had played a joke on him and that I had been there earlier.  I had a hard time convincing him that I had just come home from work and had not been there earlier.  He explained to me that he heard me open the back door and shut it, heard me walk across the kitchen floor, walk into the bathroom and close the door.  I wore heels at the time since I worked at the bank so they were distinctive when I walked across the kitchen floor. He said when I did not answer him he was shocked that I was not there.  He was expecting me to be there because it all sounded so real.  We never felt threatened at the house we just felt uneasy when things would happen that we could not explain.  We lived there for 4 years and there have been several owners since we sold the house.  Maybe they had some unexplainable experiences?
